Syngenta Aktienrückkäufe: Bericht zum Jahresende

Syngenta hat die durch die Generalversammlung am 22. April 2008 genehmigten Aktienrückkäufe nunmehr abgeschlossen. Der betreffende Beschluss sah einen Rückkauf von bis zu 10 Prozent der in Umlauf befindlichen Aktien vor.

Insgesamt wurden zwischen dem 8. März 2010 und Ende Dezember 2012 über eine zweite Handelslinie an der SIX Swiss Exchange 1487200 Aktien zurückgekauft. Dies entspricht 1,5 Prozent der zum Zeitpunkt der Genehmigung in Umlauf befindlichen Aktien, mit einem Gesamtwert von USD 402 Millionen.

Entsprechend den Beschlüssen der Generalversammlungen vom 19. April 2011 und 24. April 2012 wurden insgesamt 1473700 Aktien vernichtet. Die Gesellschaft plant, einer der nächsten Generalversammlungen die Vernichtung der verbleibenden 13500 Aktien vorzuschlagen.

Syngenta share repurchases: end-year report

Basel, Switzerland, January 3, 2013

 

Syngenta has completed the share repurchases authorized by the Annual General Meeting on April 22, 2008. The authorization allowed for the repurchase of up to 10 percent of outstanding shares.

In total, 1,487,200 shares were repurchased between March 8, 2010 and end December 2012 through a second trading line on the SIX Swiss Exchange. This represents 1.5 percent of outstanding shares at the time of authorization and a total amount of $402 million.

In accordance with motions passed at the Annual General Meetings on April 19, 2011 and April 24, 2012 a total of 1,473,700 shares have been canceled. The company plans to propose the cancellation of the remaining 13,500 shares at a subsequent Annual General Meeting.
