SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of Grupo Labmat in Piracicaba, a major industrial centre of Sâo Paulo state.

Grupo Labmat is a leading provider of materials testing, welding and engineering services as well as metallurgy project inspections. The Group serves many markets and acts a technical support partner in particular for the infrastructure, foundry and automotive parts sectors.

Grupo Labmat operates two state of the art laboratories in Piracicaba and Guarulhos and employs 120 experts. Privately owned, it generated 2012 revenue in excess of BRL 12 million.
