Myriad Group Announces Changes to its Executive Team
Myriad Group today announced Simon Wilkinson has resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Myriad Group with immediate effect. Myriad Group also announced today a new appointment to its Executive Team. Mike Grant assumes the responsibilities with immediate effect, in the role of Chief Marketing Officer.
Zurich, Switzerland – 26 September 2012 – Myriad Group AG (SIX Swiss Exchange: MYRN), the company powering billions of rich mobile social and web experiences on any connected device, today announced Simon Wilkinson has resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Myriad Group with immediate effect.
Myriad Group also announced today a new appointment to its Executive Team. Mike Grant assumes the responsibilities with immediate effect, in the role of Chief Marketing Officer.
Myriad Group’s Chairman Erik Hansen will divide Mr Wilkinson’s CEO duties between James Bodha, Chief Financial Officer, Gary Bunney, Chief Operating Officer, and Mike Grant, Chief Marketing Officer. Until a new CEO is appointed, these executives will report directly to Mr. Hansen, and the remaining senior executives will report to their respective interim executive leader.
Mr. Wilkinson will continue to serve on the Board of Directors and will act as an advisor to the Chairman and the Board.
Simon Wilkinson commented: “I am proud to have led the team at Myriad over the past five years; together we have created a European-based global leader in mobile software and services. Our achievements have enabled Myriad to innovate and define new market categories, like Mobile Social Messaging, and this has placed the company at the centre of two global technology revolutions, Mobile and Social. Curriculum Vitae of Mike Grant
Born/Nationality 1962, British citizen
Mike Grant is an executive with over 25 years management experience in product innovation, marketing and service delivery. Since April 2012 Mike has held the interim post of Vice President Product Marketing.
Prior to joining Myriad, Mike was Founder and CEO of Caru Ventures, and before this he served as Chief Marketing Officer and Partner at Analysys Mason Ltd, a leading strategy consulting firm in the telecoms and media sectors. In 2001, Mike was appointed Vice President Marketing and Strategy at Superscape plc. In this role, he led a major transition of the business from a product to services business, creating a global standard for delivering 3D graphics in mobile phones. Prior to Superscape, Mike was a Partner at Analysys Ltd where he established and built a major mobile strategy consulting practice.
Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree (Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Glasgow University, a PhD in Coherent Fibre Optic Communications, and a Masters in Business Administration from Cranfield School of Management (UK). He is also a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
