Press release

I.P.S. Innovative Packaging Solutions AG records loss in first half of 2012

Half-year result of EUR -2.95 million and earnings of EUR -2.72 million
reflect the higher operational cost arising from the positive production
development

Revenues from customer orders

Baar, 28 September 2012 - I.P.S. Innovative Packaging Solutions AG (IPS), a
leading supplier of mechanical and pressure-controlled dispensing packaging
technologies and systems for manufacturers and suppliers of cosmetics, body
care, pharmaceutical and food products, has ended the first six months of
the year recording a result of EUR -2.95 million (previous year: EUR -1.57)
and earnings of EUR -2.72 million (previous year: EUR -1.40 million). The
figures reflect the higher operational cost arising from the production
activities which commenced in 2012.

Revenues from customer orders

IPS's operational business is developing positively. In the first half of
2012, the company manufactured and shipped the first larger quantities of
Airopack dispensers to Super-Max, the world's second-largest producer of
shaving products. As a result IPS generated an income of TEUR 56 in the
first half of 2012 from existing customer orders.

Outlook

In line with the targeted growth strategy, the company will further expand
its production capacities in the second half of 2012. In addition, the
integration of the production of plastic parts, decorating and filling
processes should secure additional added value for the company. The Board
of Directors is confident that in the remaining part of 2012 further
agreements with customers can be signed, which will provide a solid base
for 2013 revenues. Due to the costs incurred during the current growth
phase, however, the company expects to record a loss on a consolidated
basis for the full year 2012, in line with the trend seen in the first half
of 2012.
