Merger of former Divisions Real Estate and Buildings | Adrian Wyss to head the new Division Buildings | Integrated services for the development, planning and execution of complex new-build and renovation projects
Glattpark (Opfikon), 3 April 2025 – In the wake of the ongoing development of its operating model, Implenia has reorganised its real estate business, merging the former Divisions Real Estate and Buildings into the new Division Buildings headed by Adrian Wyss.
Division Buildings offers the integrated development, planning and execution of complex new-build and conversion projects, with a focus on innovative, cost-effective solutions and partnership-based implementation. Its range of services covers the entire value chain, from initial analysis and planning steps to handover of the finished building or site.
Real estate development remains core business
Implenia continues to pursue real estate development as a core business and it aims to expand the scope of its offering as a service developer for clients in Switzerland. The organisation will therefore be adjusted as follows:
- Services previously provided by Division Real Estate will be brought together in Business Unit Real Estate Development under the leadership of Marc Lyon.
- Christian Bandi will head the Real Estate DevelopmentGerman-speakingSwitzerland unit; Marc Lyon will be in charge of the Real Estate DevelopmentFrench-speaking Switzerland unit.
- Jelena Radovic, with the Transactions team, will be responsible for, among other things, the expansion of the Implenia land bank.
Building construction: further development within the established structure
Within the building construction sector, Division Buildings will continue to pursue its established strategy, including its specialisation in the healthcare, research & development and data centre sectors, as well as its increased use of industrial approaches and partnership-based integrated delivery models.
In organisational terms, building construction will operate through Business Units Buildings Switzerland and Buildings Germany. Buildings Switzerland, which will be directly managed by Adrian Wyss, also includes the Building Production and Modernisation units. This will entail some adjustments:
- The new construction business in German-speaking Switzerland will be merged into the Buildings German-speaking Switzerland unit under Marc Brülhart. The regional organisation in German-speaking Switzerland remains unchanged.
- The Buildings French-speaking Switzerland unit continues to be led by Philippe Kaufmann, who also remains in charge of Modernisation.
- Roman Müller will take over the Building Production unit, which now also includes Timber Construction alongside Master Builder Services.
- Wincasa, with its existing management team and unchanged offering in the areas of real estate management, centre & mixed-use site management and constructionmanagement, will now be part of Division Service Solutions (formerly Division Specialties), which is where Implenia brings together its engineering and management skills.
In Germany, Division Buildings has a wide network and offers its clients a comprehensive range of services for turnkey construction, refurbishment and revitalisation, as well as public and private partnerships. The organisation in Germany remains under the leadership of Matthias Jacob and Lukas Czapla. Facade Technology is now integrated as an additional unit within the existing structure.
Adrian Wyss, Head Division Buildings at Implenia: “We believe that we will be able to serve our clients even more efficiently with our new and stronger set-up: They will benefit from an end-to-end service offering from a single source, greater innovative strength and even better solutions in terms of cost-effectiveness and sustainability. I look forward to leading Division Buildings and, together with our teams, clients and partners, setting new standards in the real estate industry.”
